CHANGE OF POLARITIES
Any state which exists produces potential for its opposite. The longer it lasts, the greater the necessity of its opposite. Although the likelihood of the reversal increases with time, it may not be possible to pinpoint its precise timing.
It is not easy to establish how much pressure has to build up to overcome the unknown amount of resistance needed to trigger the shifting of the polarities in any particular instance. It is, however, perfectly safe to assert that given unlimited time, any existing condition will change diametrically.
The conversion from one opposite to another is a twofold process: during stage one imperceptibly small changes gradually tip the balance towards the other extreme, and during stage two a sudden and radical shift takes place.
