WISDOM is the ability to reduce all Life, Existence, and Experience into a single constant, an average with respect to which one may then wish to align (to form identification with).
WISDOM is the reliance on the primary, the basic, and the everlasting. It is focusing on the essentials, on things that remain valid for the longest time. Reliance on the secondary and perishable is foolishness.
Each one of us finds his anchorage in some aspect of reality. It is therefore vital to know which of its aspects remain most unconditionally valid over time.
